@Riu The jacket is wonderful. I also want a similar jacket. Can you tell me your body measurements and the measurements of the jacket you sent Shawn. And what is the price of this custom jacket? I find the measurements you put on page 114 to match my jacket. But I want to customize the measurements. Hope you will have a specific article on the measurements.

Ive had an Aero in CXL before and I didnt like it at all - the steerhide being differnt may be a good thing from my perspective. I am thinking of ordering a 5* Board Racer with very similar specs to the one you have above - may I ask if you had to go into a great deal of detail or to-ing and fro-ing with the measurements or did you just pick a size and make a few tweaks? Also if its not an impertinent question may I ask how much this worked out at to the UK (Im also in the UK)?

It's always a matter of personal taste of course.

I went full custom with many details although I should have been more specific. @MrProper's guide is really useful so if you follow it you're going to be fine. I completely forgot to mention the round shoulders although he mentioned before so every detail you can think of just write it down. When I asked him to alter the sleeves, I gave him the sizes like this: cuff, end of the zipper, near the elbow, biceps. For some people just picking a size with small changes works just well I guess, I didn't want to take that risk. The cost was $350 as most of the custom orders here.

I'll post a few closeups with the steerhide, to me it's just too soft like I said although is thick enough.

Thank you, I like it turned out! I will post a picture with all the measurements I provided to Shawn and the price was $350

@MinhNhat here are the measurements I sent to Shawn. You can go even further with measurements if you wish. I hope that helps.

How does it feel when it’s a jacket? Soft, firm, heavy, light?
It looks great.

Soft, light, pliable. Definitely not heavy, stiff or firm. The jacket weights 4lbs. The thickness surprised me actually as based on feel and weight I’d have thought it would measure out thinner. The grain is fabulous however.
I should add, the colour is close to a blackened brown. Very dark brown.
I think it would be a decent leather for a trucker.

1.4 mm is equal to 3.5 oz which is quite thick, in that thickness you should able to feel it.

I have another jacket, 1.4 mm cowhide. The rough out side is tight, dense and the leather is heavy. That jacket weighs 6lbs.
The rough out side of this leather is looser, not as dense. Might explain the difference in weight.
The top coat of this leather however is tough, won’t scratch easy. If you look up Buffalo or Bison, they are described as extremely tough and durable.

Everyone has seen guardians of the galaxy vol 1. I enjoyed the collar and windflap detail of Peter Quill's leather jacket.
Can it work on a jacket like @Riu jacket. Windflap is long to the neck of the jacket.
I have seen many thin leather jackets that have a windflap design. But do not know whether with 1.4mm thick leather, such windflap is okay or not.

If you like it, just do it. I don't know what speaks against it. You probably won't wear them closed all the time either.
