That's not true, that's just the cut of the pants. These are the pants from the same brand and same dude in the video he wears both size M and size L at 174cm 70kg, seems pretty normal to me.

Cargo pants should be worn with a wide cut, especially M-51 and similar era cargo pants.

I don't mind cuffing on these either but I like wide baggy cuts in general for pants. One thing I dislike is long and baggy tops in combination because it makes everything look mostly shapeless, but on their own I like the fit of the pants.
they model everysize, and most would benefit wearing XS, or S or M, but instead, personally they would pick far beyond their appropriate size and pick XXL just look at the video where they walk together on the street as a group presentation, they wear the pants with crotch halfway to their knee

Because I've already paid, I have to choose one of the two. The problem with the body of 44 is that when I on motorbike and pull zip it, it will push up, it lifted the shoulder of the jacket off my shoulders, making me look like a bear
My best advise is to sell the 44 Leon for now. Use that funds and get a different fit jacket. And wear the 42 while doing so.

If you want to stay in the Japanese realm of jackets, have a look at the Toys Mccoy Durable. It has much wider shoulders and regular length sleeves and taper fit. If you find it better than your Leon you can sell the Leon after getting a feel of the Durable. The Durable also comes with a Crown style zipper which is better than the Waldes one imo.

Also if you're looking at Fine Creek jackets you can always check out their YT videos first to see how they fit. They have these sizing videos for most of their jackets, different size guys wearing different size jackets, gives you a feel of what they are without spending money on them first,

Now that’s how a crosszip should fit!

Relatedly, could we please bring back the honest reviews? I keep seeing low quality brands getting promoted/ad time and no one is bashing them—definitely not enough.

To be honest I have also worn super tight fit similar to the Leon. The only difference was I didn't pay the Leon price nor did these super tight fit jackets came with shortened sleeves.

So I understand the OP feeling the jacket rides up. This is what happens when wearing super tight fit jackets, they ride up and kinda uncomfortable but that is the super tight fit. And when open they look oversized but they are actually undersized. I wore this quite a bit in the early 2000s. Everything was undersized then. Some suit jackets had ridiculously short 28" back length, and I was used to at least 32". I just never expected this look to come back but it did in Japan.

My biggest advise is not to spend big bucks on trendy fits. Classic fits last forever. I remember picking up my 211LB from Lucky Brand sale rack for very little money.

There are lots of sizing and fit videos on YT. Watch it before spending.

Like others said - sell both jackets - even at a loss and I won’t even bother with altering either - you’d end up with something even less sellable and end up selling even cheaper and with the money you paid for altering it you’d be even more out of pocket…

So even more reasons to sell them both!!

If you truly have longer than standard arms for chest size, consider getting a custom made one.

I used to think custom is too expensive - aero charges £1100 or so now (used to be 800-900 last year!) But for a decent pre worn jacket you’d be looking at £300 or so anyway, and it may not fit! After multiple buying and selling you’d get tired and just pull the trigger getting a custom one.

I’d rather own just one well fitted jacket than several that don’t fit. Life is too short.
