Yes you are right regarding the Sheene yoke and 59'er waist band. Not all our yokes meet arm seams but they always have on Highwayman (both classic and Premier).I noticed on aero website that Sheene yoke do not align with the sleeves stitching as well

and the 59er Highwayman has the leather strip at the hem

The cinches I could. Find anything similar, though
Got it. I understand it all and it really is a bummer. I'll start a claim with ebay and will see where it goes. It really sucks, though. I really liked it, but I will not support counterfeits...Yes you are right regarding the Sheene yoke and 59'er waist band. The waistband of the 59er is unique to that style. We also only introduced the 59er to our range approx 8 years ago. The label in your jacket pre dates that.
I shouldn't really say it but it's not a bad looking jacket but it isn't what you thought you were buying.
At least note down the measurements because the fit is great.Got it. I understand it all and it really is a bummer. I'll start a claim with ebay and will see where it goes. It really sucks, though. I really liked it, but I will not support counterfeits...
Hahaha yeah, already made it! Took pictures of everythingAt least note down the measurements because the fit is great.
Hahaha for entertainment, maybe... For me it was heartwrenching, with all the aspects of a tragedy novel... Started great and promising to end in sadness and sorrowThis was an amazing thread.
The speed with which members of the forum spotted the fake was impressive. I’m sorry the jacket turned out to be not an Aero. That truly sucks.Hahaha for entertainment, maybe... Anyway, I thank y'all who helped me, both to realise the fit works and to learn that this is probably a counterfeit
I didn't even know there was such a thing as a "fake Aero"... Oh well, I think that's a story I'll have for my future self, to be more cautious regarding these things. The speed with which members of the forum spotted the fake was impressive. What do you think would be a fair offer for this jacket? It's a great looking jacket. If I were you I'd ask the seller for a partial refund and keep the jacket. I would remove the Aero label though.
Yeah... Got pretty bummed out with this one... But I've already gotten the measurements, so now I am more aware of what works for me.Sorry for this new development.
As others stated, take good measurements ‘cause it looks great.
If they willfully misrepresented the brand of the jacket than they don’t deserve any of your money but that may just be my opinion. What do you think would be a fair offer for this jacket?
(And, of course, if I was to keep it, I'd surely remove Aero tag...)
I wouldn't even bother trying to work with the deadbeat trying to sell you a fake jacket. Dishonest from the start means he'll continue to be dishonest with you if you try to work with them. What do you think would be a fair offer for this jacket?

Good point. But, chances are the seller doesn't even know it's a fake himself. He probably bought it somewhere cheap, thinking it was an Aero.I wouldn't even bother trying to work with the deadbeat trying to sell you a fake jacket.
