I've seen a couple fake Aero's on ebay, the hardware is almost always the tell. Last one I spotted was a fake Aeromarine. Looked legit from 10 feet away but upon closer inspection an obvious fake. Similar hide to this one too. Was the seller based in Philly by chance?
Not to jump to judgment to quick, the seller may not be aware it's a fake either....
I got it from someone in Wales... The seller accepted the return, so I just wanted confirmation before sending it back.

Why you ask about Philly? Red flags from there?

That's the local of the last seller I saw selling a bogus Aero.

Yep, confirmed it is too sketchy to rely, so back it goes... That is really a shame, though. If someone can produce a jacket like this, they really shouldn't be using another brand.

Most interesting turns of events. I am glad you were able to return the purchase without much loss. I also think it may not be the fault of your seller he could just be selling what he thought was an Aero jacket he got from someone else.

One more thing to point out is the way Aero does their zipper, there is no tape showing on either the front or the inside. The copy had visible zip tape on the inside facing.

There is also a small tag on the inside of the hand warmer pocket that would state who made what jacket and when. I've bought used Aeros with that tag cut out but it's always good idea to ask for photo for the tag for authenticity.

This jacket was worn by a popular Japanese TV star back many years ago. There might have been fans who had commissioned for a copy screen jacket to be made.

The regular Highwayman is relaxed fit. The premier one fits slimmer, but the cuffs and collar are changed. Here is the details of the regular one:

Oh, wow! Thanks for the info! I think I'll keep my eyes open for a Premier Highwayman. Hopefully one will come up soon enough. For now, I'll just have to wait and accept the little frustration feeling I got from this, I guess haha

Premier HWYMans are harder to come by. I'm also looking for them. I'll post what I can find in the find thread when they pop up.
