Does anyone know who made this? It was posted here a few months ago and sold for at least $700 and it looks like its moving again. What a splendid and unique piece.

The mix of design elements and overall pattern is weird. I wouldn't be surprised if this is an amateur project, someone who took a 50s (boxy) Californian halfbelt and turned it into a 30s cossack style jacket.

I handled this jacket. In my opinion the jacket is from the 30s or 40s. The lining and zipper were replaced. There is no maker label
