This one's pretty cool! Wish it was in UK. (Bummer that the seller didn't measure the pit to pit while measuring the sleeve twice). Isn't the back kinda short?
Standard for this style and size
I know @jeo knows vintage jackets. But my opinion differs here a bit.

I have kicked the tires on this jacket for over a year now. The seller is sorta this stubborn old guy in PA. I asked for these measurements last YEAR and he didn't wanna provide em. I made offers and he was pretty dug on on his price plus didn't wanna ship. He got pissy at the notion of my trying to arrange easy shipping. Now I see the measurements and can just imagine if I asked him to clarify or measure properly following detailed instructions how salty the guy would be!!!

That said, in my experience of handling Hercules half belts specifically, and I own a fair amount of them, 23" would be short considering all the other measurements of this jacket. Now this MAY be an earlier model than those I have or have handled AND/OR I think perhaps that rear length measurement could be an inch longer as it appears there is still some slack in the mid back that was not accounted for in the Seller's measurements.

As @jeo says, the age and model can run short but it has not been my experience that they run 23" on the back length with the other measurements this one has.

On a side note---I have had a recent run of Sellers like this. Sellers who take personal offense to your questioning their measurements. Sellers that flat refuse or tauntingly balk at providing measurements. Sellers who provide measurements like "Armpit to Hem" or "Shoulder Seam to Armpit" or any other just totally odd and useless measurements.

But some of them somehow take it very personal when you question their strange measurements or ask for proper ones. Its like they think they're being trolled or something. Like I sit around all day trolling random ebay Sellers to get them to waste time doing actual proper Pit to Pit measurements on old leather jackets!!! I even tell the people "Look, ANYONE who wants to buy this is going to ask you for these measurements so you are helping yourself sell this by taking the time to do these measurements whether I end up buying it or not."

Anyway, while he is far from the worst seller I have encountered, good luck dealing with him. Maybe it'll work out for someone.

I once had this lady given me the "belly" measurement, which is 2" down from the pit to pit according to her. I was thinking to myself why the F@!$ do I need this measurement for?

She was a real piece of work.

If memory serves me correct the old Hercs were advertised as having 25.5” (total) length. Not sure if that would come out to 24” or 23” measured from base of collar.

It seems that the seller measured from slightly above the base which would make it even shorter than 23”.

Yeah its not a great measurement pic. Shorter than 23" would be crazy short especially with the other measurements being what they are.
