Very nice jacket. But the price is a little high for me. It needs a lot of work.

SportClad Car Coat...... very good condition......FIND based on price but I wanted to highlight the cool zipper. Never seen a Double Conmar zipper. I'm sure others have but not I. Jacket is cool but I don't know about $800 cool even WITH that zipper.

Looks like more than one person wanted it. That was a clear snipe but at least one other party had a bid in at over a G. Someone had a nuke bid. The winning bid obviously had an even higher maximum. I agree w @jeo, cool piece but I did not see that price comin on this one. I knew it was gonna jump at the end but that was a Pole Vault!!!

I was very curious to see what it would end up goin for. Not surprised it went for that much.

Its a slow TV night I guess!!!!! I was not in on this one at all but the vibrant bidding certainly had me intrigued.

I have a few straight zip CHPs (Cal, All Weather, Aero, Lost Worlds) and was tempted. Minty for a steal.

It stayed in the TFL family though.

I knew there’d be a last minute jump. $624 was too cheap for this jacket.

I probably would have been in on the action but the missing belt was the killer for me. I could have overlooked all the other issues.

I was looking long and hard at this one for 160 bucks. Finally got some clear photos of the collar and it’s absolutely thrashed. Cool jacket, but thrashed spot

I came in second in the last second. The buyer was going to buy it well beyond 1K. I wanted it, but never really confident that $999 would buy, so not surprised. I put my bid a couple of hours early. these early editions are not Johnny jackets.

In the world of-are they worth it?-Yes.

You can repair it with corduroy fabric. Back in the day, heavy-duty service jackets were lined with corduroy on the upper collar. Cal leathers and others used to do it. Personally, I have done it and it looks professional.
