I managed to get something else sold so I've decided to stick these back in the closet for now. I felt the pricing would get them sold super quick and when it didn't and I tried them on again I thought the hell with it. They're never that cheap when I buy so I thought why take a loss if you don't have to. Maybe I'll try down the road again.

I am no expert, but I would find this type of connection unlikely. Bates is a moto gear shop while Schott is more fashion overall. Plus opposite coasts and seemingly different markets. These days, brands may do collaborations but I think you are more asking if there is a production connection whereby one jacket was made for one maker by the other. I would love to hear someone with more knowledge chime in but my guess is that Schott and Bates slant pocket CRs are not related. Also, the double slant chest pocket design is not exclusive to either maker.
