Why go to Japan. This one is horsehide and black, not my size, but would be BIN if it was.

I have a hunch these "made in the West" JCP jackets with this label were made by American Sportswear Co. in Brigham City Utah.

Horsehide Appalachian, I may buy this one.

I did. I thought about posting it, I found it by accident. When I went to post it, I could not resisit.

Marked a 36 fits more like a 40. I've had a couple of these, but not horsehide and with out out the knits. These are not high end leathers, but have a quality I can't seem to resist. I just bought a Hercules by them.



I have those same purple knits on a black Hercules A2. I've seen a few like that, but never mismatched!

This one was listed while I bought my recent Hercules Vertical zip. I called dibs on this one, but I wasn't even in the game!

Marked a 36, no measurements posted, probably fit a 38/40. Not marked for leather, so I assume steerhide. I just bought two Appalachian jackets, the 2nd I bought 10 minutes ago on the rebound from being crushed by this one!!

Perhaps another connection............ I wonder if RoughWear is involved somewhere on these jackets like we think they are on the Early Herc HBs???

Fried-Ostermann made these jackets. I have seen identical Albert-Richard and Hercules labeled jackets in different styles.

Which Hercules does it resemble. I see similarities too, but there were so many models at one point. This Albert does not have the corduroy bottom hem so prevalent on many Hercs

This would help nailing down makers.

I have been comparing my RW MC jacket with catalog jackets, but have not found a match.
