Another use of the button pocket front. I am beginning to see the patterns in CSC jackets. The Goatskin at the bottom is another pattern, I have that jacket style with a Sears Topline label in the calfskin.

Also good example of CSC being sold through out the country. This store label in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I remember shopping at a department store like this growing up. As a kid I would get so excited to go because I would get to see this wonderful lady named Mrs Jackson. Imagine walking into a retail store today and knowing a certain salesperson would be there year after year LOL

Ok so this is a different post. I mentioned Ragstock, a US based company in another thread. Then I looked at this page and thier "Vintage" section. They have HUGE stock of vintage everything. I really wonder how they are doing it. Some of thier proices are really good, However note that many of thier jackets have ben bailed - and full of creases & wrinkles. This would not be a big deal on washable clothing such as denim or flannel shirts, but a bailed leather jacket probably will not be helped with a wash.

Here's the Men's vintage leather jacket page, I do have to give them credit - they give actual dimenions for each jacket on here.

And a couple examples that do not look too bad.

And just like that, I bought a Vintage jacket off this site. We'll call it the "Dainese Jacket Experiment" I will let this forum know how the whole transaction proceeds. If it is good, it will be the cheapest Dainese M/C jacket I have ever seen. The photos look good; we will see how it comes through. Free shipping and just sales tax added on.

Thank you so much for this link and your generous sharing of your story. How very interesting. We had a store in my town that was like this, center of town.

I live in Illinois and have been to Cedar Rapids, Iowa several times. It would have been the biggest area of commerce in the surrounding area, given the rural nature of Iowa. They obviously sold quality merchandise.

Dainese / Ragstock update #1 - already have USPS tracking number & shipping confirmation. Coming via Priority Mail, which for "free shipping" is indeed not bad. Now back to your regurally scheduled Finds & Deals thread. :)

"Designed and tested" in Australia *probably means Made in Pakistan. If 5* quality then not bad, but at USD 330 still a bit expensive.

There’s an additional 15% off coupon on the banner, so that takes it down to around $280.

I don’t know much about the brand or product, so that could still be expensive if the quality is junk.
