Great overall look. Stitch work looks really sloppy though.

It does look really bad, yeah. You know how I wanted it initially but gave up since because of it 'cause of it. Not really what I'd want to pay a thousand Euros for.

Yep, those measurements are probably off. I had a size 38 and the taper was a bit too much for me, despite the p2p and shoulders being fine. The fact that this seller has no taper indicated in the waist and p2p is odd.

The leather is the best I've seen on a Passaic. I have one inbound, if it is just close to this in thickness and grain, which I doubt, I'll be jumping on my couch.

This looks to be an older model Passaic. The later model CRs often have the 2 way zippers on them and the Slanted pockets are much more slanted.......almost totally vertical. I really dig the later ones with these more slanted pockets. The older ones with the less slant to the pockets look too similar to the Schotts IMO. The 2 way zippers are actually very useful in my experience. No need to fully unzip when seated.

The leather on these is decent but in general, not super thick.

Yep, that's the one. I also prefer the almost vertical pockets. Something very different. Though the leather on the older version looks incredible. I put in a bid and was certain the other bidders would race right by it at the end. 5 more bucks and they would have.

Thanks for the insight on old v new Passaic. I enjoy having a better understanding of a jacket's evolution.

Nah. Not a difficult or expensive fix either. Quite the find!

Edit: For the sake of clarity. Nah, its not a dealbreaker! Do it.

Gonna hold off. I agree the cuff situation wouldn't be that big of a deal, especially with the price. But it just wouldn't get worn. I have similar jackets already. Next on my list is a nice CR!

Nice. I was looking to get into the action on that one as well but I valued it much lower than everyone else apparently. Lol...... my cheapskate gene was kicking in I guess......

I've got one now and I have had 2 others that were too small back when I first started buying jackets. I originally bought a 42 Black CR. Awesome jacket. But it was too small for my liking so I sold it. I then picked up another 42 at a local consignment store that seemed to fit better but really, it was only because it didn't have a liner. I was too stupid to realize the difference in fit from the zip in liner. Those liners are lame and barely utilitarian anyway IMO.

A few years later, I snagged a size 44 brown CR with the liner. It fits pretty good but I always am on the lookout for a 46 and I want to get another black one. The brown is cool and versatile. But Black is B L A C K and I just love the look of these in black.

That one you got is extra interesting because of the Shirt Collar. It has the 2 way zipper----I really like the 2 way but maybe it's just me. Missing the liner which is no loss at all in my book. Hopefully, you can get that zipper imprint off the front lower left side and there are not others on this jacket. I have bought from that Seller a couple of times and most of his stuff is pretty clean. Not like some of the bale finds that are wrinkled like raisins. I think it'll clean up really well.

I am interested to see how you like this one. I expected it to go in the $150-$175 range but it looks like it had a lot of interest. Cool get. Congrats. Please post your follow up report if you can. These are oddly underrated jackets for having such a high coolness factor.;)
