I rushed there to buy that Ralphs-Pugh, then I saw the Price!!!!!!!

At least I can get the pictures. Steerhide label first used in 1938 which is about the correct date for the triple marked Talon Sunrise zipper. Not seen one quite like this so an exciting find no matter the price.

Looks like Blatt made some of the HD Champs, no doubt. I wonder if they made mine? I'm thinking they had different suppliers given the very different conditions I have seen HD vintage jackets.

I knew this would be interesting to have these photos of an old RP. I don't know what to say about the price, and not sure if this kind of seller is reliable. He can't properly write the name of this jacket and asks $3000+. Anyway that's a great model.

This is a bit closer. This was a popular style in the late 30s. I have this model with belt loops. May have had a model with the low adjustment.

Ralphs-Pugh worked in all material. As rare as the Leather jackets are the non-leathers are even more scarce. The zipper helps me date this label. Notice the label: Leather and Cloth Sportswear.

Can't make out the zipper stop. The Slider was used from the late 30s into the late 40s, with some modifications. This is the earliest with the beveled edge The stop is most probably a Sunrise Talon.

This is not a small jacket and looks to be a substantial weight. The Quality will be Top Notch.

Real McCoys does a version of this jacket, probably others. A very plain but popular garment of the 30s-50s.
