Looks to be the same maker. I can’t recall if they were out of the pacific northwestern US or Canada. They appear to be nice jackets though. I’ve seen a few bearing that label.

I can't help. But judging by the photos these jackets look great quality. The one priced at $100 is a deal.

They do look nice. I’m trying not to put in an offer on the $100 jacket. I’ve got four straight zip police jackets.

It’s funny, but I always equate the square/rectangular badge holder with lesser jackets. Not always true I know. Weird sort of bias.

I can’t articulate why but I know exactly what you mean. See it more often on late model Taylor’s, AMF Harley cop jackets, etc. I do think the Cycle jackets look at least a tier above both. But I totally get that connection.

This is the Original Golden Bear label. Rainbow uses something like this. This jacket is from the late 1930s with the Tanners label proclaiming cow. I have the same Tanners label in a Goatskin jacket pictured below, but no makers label. One of my most beautiful jackets.

I have 2 OLD Vintage Seattle Woolen Police Jackets. One has the Union Made Tag. Both are very very heavy horsehide with no side laces or beaver tail kidney panels so they weren't Moto jackets. Both have straight zips and both of them have/had the rectangular badge holder. I have seen really cool vintage cop jackets with both but I agree there is a tendency in the modern jackets to have the rectangular (as with the Taylors) but some even have sorta this smaller almost belt loop type of badge holder where you can get your fingers behind the holder because it isn't 100% stitched to the jacket. THOSE are the really modern ones that I tend to shy away from.

The more AUTHENTIC MODERN UNIFORM it tends to be, the less I tend to think its cool. With the cop jackets, there is a fine line for me. These jackets CAN look the same but modern, more mass produced uniform grade jackets are not the same quality or coolness level IMO. Its like, you can sorta sense the institutional feel that they have when they come from these UNIFORM companies. Taylor made some cool old jackets back in the day. As they got more and more modern, they are more utilitarian and less quality leather etc. Maybe its too hard for me to put into words....uniform jackets made by uniform only companies vs. uniform jackets made by non uniform only leather jacket companies have a different feel and appeal to me. I don't want a mass produced modern cop jacket that I can buy off a website new.

Damn if I don't always get sidetracked and wordy---I agree it seems like cooler vintage cop jackets have round badge holders but this is not always the case. I don't personally dig the modern cop jackets even if they LOOK LIKE the old ones. There it is nutshelled.

Had not thought about the badge holder shape. Maybe it was the shape of the badge? Whatever the shape it does indicate the jacket was made for a badge. I also have early "police" jackets that have had patches sewn on.

Police/Duty jacket were a main stay of many leather jacket makers big and small.

This is one of my most prized Police Jackets. Seattle Woolen Co. from the 1930s. Looks a bit like a Freewheelers jacket.

I was thinking the same. More modern uniform-specific companies v the old makers that made leather jackets and police leather jackets. And like you say, some transitioned from the latter to the former.

Definitely some vintage jackets with the square badge patch/holder, but I just can’t get over the initial thought when the badge holders are not round or oval.

Yes indeed, also as a "size small" with three measurements and no other details. I paid less than that for my first car in the early '90's for college.

The seller has probably no idea of the brand of this jacket, he did put a price on it because it "looks" old.
I am sure someone could negociate it for a few hundred dollars, way under a thousand. It's rare, but it's a small size. Zippers and lining are not original.

Size 46, so measurements are likely not accurate. Belt loops removed. Nice hardware.
