You're right about the heavyweight leather, if the leather above is actually heavyweight.. it's not like that ebay seller has seen the order sheet, it's probably just heavy in comparison to what he usually sells. Doesn't look overly thick to me on pictures.

My last years catalog of Langlitz had the Cascade at 1000, plus 100 for colored leather or goatskin and maybe some little upcharge for the pinstripes.. that yoke is standard on all Cascades I have seen so far. Jacket doesn't have custom pocket set-up or any other extra cost option Langlitz offers.

I may be wrong, but I don't recall paying extra for the back pinstripes on my custom Langlitz order. I think they'll add them at no extra charge. And I definitely did not pay extra for the yoke- it's part of the signature Cascade design.

Cost for jacket with all the mods (mid weight cowhide, contrast stitching, gusseted sleeves, snap on map pocket) was an even $1000. The only extra charge was for elbow and shoulder padding- an extra $175.

On the Langlitz Cascade, I just got done with the seller. A few things:

Description says that the leather is heavy, it doesn't say it's *Langlitz's* spec for heavy. Actual jacket weight according to seller is 5.5 lbs. I'd guess that's Langlitz medium weight cow. But still very substantial, good leather.

Measurements kill it for me, it is tagged 42XL but I would say that's a very tight fitting 42, more like a 40. It's only 18" shoulder to shoulder, and 18" across the waist. If it were 19.5-20", I could do it. Seller sent me pics showing the measurements.

Price seems on the high side, but this grey leather is rare and it's in like new condition. He can get that price, but it's got best offer, so probably take $200 off and it's yours.

Here's the additional pics he sent me. You can see how he took the measurements, and just how thick the leather is. This jacket deserves to go to one of our members, so I hope it will fit someone.



He did not include a pit-to-pit measurement image, but the description says 22".

Cal Leather for $99. Don't know what's with those cuts but they've been repaired and for a $99, you won't find a cooler beater jacket. It looks extremely cool and I'm this close to hitting the BIN myself.
