I don’t know if a lot of other TFL members feel similarly but these Japanese sites that don’t cater to an international market are inaccessible and I immediately disregard them. Am I wrong to think that way? Purchasing from them does not seem straightforward. It’s like getting a kidney through back channels.

Can always count on a Californian to deliver. Love that jacket. I have three of them. LOL. and two project ones in that style. One of the luxuries of that particular one is the lining. Love that lining.

Yes, Dave's work. He is a Monarch nut as you see plus his love for the Scully Bros. Dave and I talked frequently several years ago as he was moving from repairs/restorations to making a jacket line.
The last Monarch pictured above was probably made from a Monarch jacket I owned. It had a "fake" California Sportswear label. Dave recognized it as a Monarch. I sent him the jacket. It is probably the finest fitting half-belt I have owned. Monarchs just has a cut. Dave has a real thirst for knowledge, he does his homework.

$600 is what I paid for a mint J27 size 46 with the early 50s tag Buco used when they only made jackets with horsehide

Love the jacket. However, the best I have ever seen was the one T sold some years back. His jacket was a good fit for me. Like a dummy, I did not pull the trigger on that one. I still remember his looking for one.
