You may have gathered by now that I dredge along the very bottom of the marketplace, spending next-to-no money on all sorts of good-enoughs.

My recent TT Leathers resto jacket cost £19. That's nineteen pounds.

And now I'm after a quality CR. Hide isn't crucial, but needs to be interesting. Age isn't important, but I'll unlikely afford new.

Because oh, by the way: budget is as far under £100 as you can find.

So it's a quest. Find me a cool CR, on the cheap, anywhere in the world. And I'll buy it, and I'll smarten it up and show you all.

I'm no expert in leather jackets, but something tells me your budget won't allocate a high quality jacket, new or vintage. I would save up to get a very nice jacket that'll keep you satisfied for a long time.

Fidelity made a great jacket. If someone can help you out, Barnabus, or if anyone else is after a CR in this size, it is a really great deal. As good of a jacket as anything and fits better than most.

How far from London are you? The Electric Ballroom in Camden used to have several great stalls with sub £50 British bike jackets (TT, Wolf, and so on) on weekends. Still a few good stalls at Portobello Road, round the Westway Centre (Latimer Grove end) on a Saturday. If you're near town, worth a hunt. There is also Beyond Retro on Cheshire St (off Brick Lane). I saw a nice Schott cafe racer in there for sub 100 recently.

Not too far, but chance to get into London is pretty slim recently.

At least now I know some places to check out when I do get in to town.
