I'm trying to understand but I have no idea what you're talking about. Here's the Manhattan. 7.5cm which is 3". Exactly what Greg is missing? Here it is :)

That was my order, there's nothing wrong with the shoulder. It came up slightly too big because he didn't take into account the French seams on the back.
This is exactly one of my findings. That even though the shoulder slope may be taller or shorter when new, once the jackets are worn repeatedly the leather stretches out where they need to go. Thus busting the neck pressure theory. I literally went down this neck pressure path and found nothing, except the thickness of the seams, and the different types of seam bulk reduction. Again everything will eventually even out once worn in.
FWIW, you've worn this jacket many times. It started its life with the shoulder slope height around 2" to 2.5". I have the sale Manhattan and I don't wear it much, so I bet mine is still not stretched out like yours. But if I wore it a few more times yes I get the same slope height.
It's just some jackets would come new with taller slope height (like the A2) for even when new it can look like it's been worn. That's all I am getting at. Not arguing.

The slope of A-2s varied dramatically across makers.
That is true, different contracts different fits. I only have three A2s. They look rounder than all my other jackets that's what I am trying to say. Again I am not arguing with you round vs square shoulder I am sorry if I am not communicating this out properly. It's just I saw the comment where the Kensington had the "dropped" shoulder (to me that is A2 rounded like), and I went on to check it out and it does seem the racing shirt types are like this even when new. And that Matchankh was wondering about his fit jacket shoulder, I put the two and two together so to speak.

In my opinion, round shoulders come from the fact that the sleeves are sewn on at a shallower angle. But I am not a specialist and I can be wrong. Avirex_flat.jpeg

You are correct. I also find that when the sleeves are go in flatter the whole look is rounder.

But there is a fit difference between the shoulder on the boardracer type and cafe racer type. That's what I am trying to describe there. When you put on your board racer you will see.

All the post on instagram are really making me want a Fl jacket. Not the biggest black leather fan though and it seems like I missed the boat for the brown leathers. Definitely disappointed he doesn’t want to use brown anymore.

Thanks Tom. I know this jacket is not a real B3 but I thought it was a great deal for what is a really well made jacket. Greg did a good job on this one.

Exactly!

My initial thoughts were along the lines of finally a shearling that looks civilian. Then I got second thoughts about the concept. The conflicting views have been thoroughly discussed here.
In the end I decided that I don’t need more than one shearling for my climate.

It IS a great looking jacket though!

It's a civilian shearling bomber you've nailed the name.

Now that Greg has this pattern down tight he could in theory make an authentic B1/B2. Shinki shell, melton wool lined for warmer climate, shearling lined for cold climate.

It's a good looking jacket in it's own right. Only thing that stands out to me is that those pocketflaps seem a bit crudely implemented. Fit and leather looks great.

I think so. Saved all the screen shots just in case.

Looking forward to this collar. Very basic single rider, but very fancy collar...

On a previous story there was a file or something with the client name, u remember seeing it but didn't pay enough attention to remember the name

Edit: just went to his page to take a look and it's not there anymore. Probably already expired, so I think I saw it yesterday
