Hi Seb Lucas

I get that £800-£1000 is a lot a money and I am the new guy on the block but I have been making jacket for Aero for 8 years and have full confidence that my Badalassi jackets are worth the same if not more than Aeros. If I was to lower my Badalassi prices it honestly wouldn’t be worth selling them. Small business like me have to pay higher rates per sqf for leather. Hope this doesn’t come across as arrogance, just trying to explain why my prices are what they are. Hopefully time will tell that they are worth it.

thanks Greg

My badalassi hides a pretty heavy, very close to Horween’s CXL
If the Badalassi has the same/similar weight as Aero's old stock (I got 2 tobacco and russet Badalassi jackets from Aero's old stock before they decided to include Badalassi in their portfolio last year), I agree that the heaviness, thickness is comparable to CXFQHH

^this makes sense. There is a lot of flipping on TFL. A marquee brand like Eastman or Freewheelers can always find buyers on bigger platforms like ebay. These until established are likely to re-sell (when that ocd tells you it is a mm too big or the sleeves are 1/16” too short) at 60% value here and maybe not at all elsewhere. I hope it works out and he becomes the Brian the Bootmaker of jackets. Fingers crossed. I’m rooting for a lot of positive reviews.
Thanks man!!

@Honeyman1935 As you already have 8 years of experience (your stitching counts and quality looks pretty good on pictures) using highest quality leather, hardware and hopefully also lining I think prices in a range of £800-£1000 are more than fair and why should someone offer high quality products at a low price? Then people would get the impression that the quality may be lower...this is my personal opinion. I definitely cross the fingers for you, especially in these times hoping that you will get enough orders now! All the best and stay healthy! I hope you can continue manufacturing leather jackets as Aero had to close for a while.

I think a different scenario to think about is that Field goes the way of Eastman or Goodwear in a few years---steady price increase and/or massive wait times. Personally think the value here is quite good. High end leather offerings with at least Aero-level construction with a smaller needle size on original patterns.
Hi VestCoast

thanks for your positive thoughts.

Thanks buddy. I have to say I completely agree with you. It’s going to take time but I have full faith that you guys will see that my jackets are with the price in the end. Thanks again, I really appreciate it!!

@Honeyman1935 Any plans to introduce more unique designs?
Definitely!! But I really need to get on my feet first. But I definitely want to introduce a Cossack and another coupon bike designs. Maybe something like Leather Togs bike with the large D pocket and maybe something like Johnson Bros 1930’a sport jacket

Here are a few quick'n dirty fit pics.
Basically it's a great jacket. The leather is a dream and the workmanship is world class.
Unfortunately it is 2 cm shorter than I would have liked. This happened due to a misunderstanding in communication and the usual tolerances of 1/2 inch.
So something that I should have considered better with the dimensions.
It is only 2 cm, but it does make a difference visually.
With the rest there is absolutely nothing to complain about.
So I'm torn right now and don't know if I'm 100% happy.

IMO the fit looks absolutely perfect! It's short but definitely not too short...it's always a matter of opinion that some people like it shorter and some shorter, some wider, some tighter. I really hope that you'll keep this beautiful jacket. Of course, I agree if you feel uncomfy wearing it then you should consider to sell it.

That would definitely be an interesting model to make :)

That's great to hear but if I may, there's a certain drought of elegant travel / evening wear leather jackets in the market.

There's lack of really nice leather jackets that fall between a blazer and work coat. A elegant, slim fitting car coat with discrete features would make an excellent addition and it would be great as fashionable yet functional travel jacket.

Your designs are unique and superbly made so I can't want to see more from you.

There's nothing wrong with it. It looks perfect.
You should wear it with pride.

It looks good to me, that’s the way I like my jackets to fit, halfway down the belt.

Mr.P- looks really good. Great looking jacket.

That is as short as I will go. Much rather it land there than it be too long.

Cool belt buckle too. Imo, it all works very well together.
