I became an Austen fan more as an adult but I too like Mr. Darcy, Mr. Tilney, and Captain Wentworth. As a teenager I fell for the narrator of The Great Gatsby, Nick Carraway; Mac from Rose in Bloom by Louisa May Alcott; and Hitoshi from Moonlight Shadow by Banana Yoshimoto.

Oh Darcy! I love him!

But I actually think that Bingley is adorable in his own way, and I love the actor who portrays him in the 2005 version. What can I say? I'm a sucker for red headed guys.

Mr. Darcy, of course. I even named my little black cocker spaniel after him!

Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables.

Hm, the rest were guys from bands who are not fictional.

Hey Miss Molly, would you be willing to share Mr Darcy - say you have him weekend and I have the other????

I have him penciled in for every third wednesday, if that's reasonable.

Hmmm, I don't know ladies, I am awfully fond of him you know. I may perhaps consider loaning him out for one Sunday a month...... if that's good with you? ;)

Mr. Darcy, Mr. Knightley, Captain Wentworth, Mr. Tilney, Mr. Edward Ferrars, Colonel Brandon, Mr. Edmund Bertram. Of course, you can't tell that I am a huge Jane Austen fan, can you ;) ? I also love James Percy from Louisa May Alcott's The Inheritance, Professor Bhaer and Theodore Laurence from Little Women ( I especially love the 1949 version with Peter Lawford), and Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables. I love reading and find something interesting the hero or leading man, in almost every book. Thanks to many of the books I have read, it has helped me define what I want in a man :).

Holden Caulfield.
For some reason, when I read Catcher in the Rye as a teenager, I liked Holden. I thought he was funny, mysterious (hard to crack kind of way) and a likable person. His smart-alecky responses sounded like something I would have said at the time. Teenagers....what do you do?

Also, Corlath from Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword... I so wanted to be Hari's shoes so I could look into his electric eyes!

A woman after my own heart...although I was always partial to Luthe in Hero & the Crown.

And this most recent regeneration of Dr. Who. Yum.

I think Holden and I would have had some serious chemistry. Half the time I wanted to hit him and half of the time I wanted to hug him. I hated him at times, but deep down I still love him and hope that things got better for him.

I have a huge crush on Prof Snape from the Harry Potter movies. I have no idea why, but I would love to have a whirlwind romance with him.

When I was little, I crushed Hans Solo from the Star Wars movies.
That's because Alan Rickman is hot when he plays a bad guy.
He was also good as Col. Brandon

When I was a kid I always read the Little House books. Never cared for the tv show. And I love Almonzo Wilder. He is one of my favorite characters.
I named my oldest daughter Laura Elizabeth because of those books.

I also love Antonio Corelli in Corelli's Mandolin. The movie was okay but the book was much better.

I love Mr. Darcy, Col Brandon and Captain Wentworth too.
They don't make men like that anymore.

I recently read A Little Love Song by Michelle Magorian (she wrote Goodnight Mister Tom - I'm not sure if anyone has read it but Inspector Morse made it rather famous on the tv- RIP John Thaw)
anyway, I totally fell for the male lead character, Alec.
hehe.

is it rather shameful to admit that (when i was young) I literally bawled like a baby during Titanic and was completly in love with Jack Dawson.

Mr. Darcy of course! When he's Colin Firth.

Also Sam Tyler from Life on Mars (the English one)
Christian in Moulin Rouge
The Doctor (as in Doctor Who, when he's David Tennant)

There are definitely more I just can't think at the moment xx :)

As a young teen, I was hopelessly in love with Rhett Butler! More current crushes, Col. Shepherd from Stargate: Atlantis, Horatio Hornblower (Ioan Gruffudd from the mini series), Don Drape from Mad Men, Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo in CSI:NY)

I was actually judged quite unfit for conversation by a fellow one day because I chose Han over Luke... I just love it when Harrison Ford plays a totally lovable bad @&# (well, you know what word goes there...)
Something about that rugged, devil-may-care "I Love You" "I know" attitude drives me crazy!
