Fed IV Tawny Fawn -how does it look on me

Honest opinions wanted:
Here's my Fed IV in Tawny Fawn I've worn quite a bit in the last month, so it's good and 'broken in' feeling. It's a great hat, very sturdy, good rain hat, all attributes I need in a Fedora.
I'm just no too sold on how it looks on me. According to the Miller Hats 'Hat Style Guide', I'm not sure where my face lands, other than long. -from the guide, my face shouldn't have a 'square' crown, which I see this as being.
Its a center dent bash with the sides going back 2/3 of the way.
What do you think? How about brim width? If not this, what crown/bash would look good?

But really, I think it does look good on you. The tawny fawn color fits with you. When I find a hat that looks that good on me, I'm buying it.

actually looks good on you. i know what you mean though. after being used to tapering crowns i find my fed IV to look strange on me. although its growing on me. just keep wearing it and you'll get used to your face in it.

Looks just great on you. The wide brim and bulk of the crown compliment your face; in optometrical evaluation, you appear to have what's referred to as either the "heart" or "diamond" face (they're interchangable terms, though the former tends to be used to refer to women and the latter to men). This is considered the "ideal" face shape because it lends itself best to symmetrical proportions, and because these symmetrical proportions allow an individual to wear any number of things which compliment it through contrast-- for example, individuals with round faces, such as myself, tend to look terrible in eyeglass frames which have soft curves, and as round-faced individuals also tend to have features closer together, appear to have small faces and thus cannot carry off wider brims very well. The same is often true for square-faces, although in their case such individuals do not carry rectangular frames or frames with straight lines very well.

Additionally, your darker complexion (that is to say, not pale or milky) lends itself well to the hat. With that complexion, I'd stick with earth tones-- olive and darker browns as far as suits go. The color of that shirt, for example, also suits you well. Navy would also probably look good on you, although I'd be careful about grays and cream/off-whites.

Citron, I had the same thoughts when I got a Fed. I have a Tawny Fed just like yours and after wearing it for a few days, I've decided that it's proportions fit my face better than any hat I own. The same thing will happen to you, you wear it well.

What ever you do- don't smile or look like you could possibly be having a good time or enjoying yourself. People could get the wrong idea that you like hats.

wow! Thanks guys! Like I said, I've been wearing this one almost everyday, and hadn't really cared what anybody thought (general public, not the Loungers). After seeing so many good looking lids here, I thought I'd check into actually how it did look to others. I'm glad to hear my favorite hat meets my expectations! Oh, I'll get a smiley pic up soon...
