Agreed. There's something about a good black and white photo that often times captures the moment better than color.

Yes, very, very true. And the same with movies - "Casablanca" and so many of that era benefitted from being in B&W.

It also doesn't hurt that Panadora - or whoever shot those pictures - has the eye of a real photographer (versus the disasters that result from my efforts at taking pictures).

I do use a few other tricks (besides the black and white conversion).
I often use a very low point of view when photographing children.

And I have learned to take pictures with both my eyes open

Hello Chums

I was 1940's DJing (if you can do such a thing) for the VE Day Street Party held in Bedford, England.

I took my son along and some nice chap took this picture of us.
