Hi, Kowalski, how long did your jacket completely dry out?
I try to repeat the same thing with my old W&G A2.
Yesterday I put it in warm water for 10 minutes (exept the sleeves). Today - after 16 hours (it lies on the heated floor with a temperature of 40 ° C) there is no result yet - it does not shrink yet. But seems still not completely dry.
I'll wait)))

drying time = thickness of the skin , type (goat, HH) and temp.(C*).
Very long time dry.USauth HH it very thick skin (it 4-5 0z i think ) Jacket completely dry out after 48- 49 h ! ,in
the lying position it longer time . At the end hang on the radiator

if it does not shrink, give it a higher temperature, just without exaggeration ;)

the higher the temperature, the more it shrinks. You just have to be careful
best to jacket from time to time change position

First it lay on towels, I changed them to dry ones and turned it over. Now it lies just on the warm floor, it is no longer wet, but judging by the weight, the water is not all out of it yet. I look forward to the end of the experiment. I hope everything will be OK (in any case, that it will not be worse than it was - I hope!). So far, it looks quite decent, but who knows how the old leather will behave after it finally dries up.

I have a desire to make it bit smaller in the body and a little in the shoulders.
Let's see what will happens.

I wonder what if I increase the water temperature?
It would not shrink more?

In general, I am pleased with the result. It's a very old shabby jacket and I like the way it looks. But another 1 cm, I would have "removed")))
