Oh me too, but I have the DVD sets :D I don't know of any mainstream channel that still broadcasts them - Do you remember that nonsense some years back about parents protesting it because it was exposing their children to violence? I think that still sticks.

Personally, I never thought of Looney Tunes as violent, even as a kid. It's ironic how those same parents probably let their children play Call of Duty, but they can't watch "violent" cartoons.

Violent? LOL!! That explains a lot with me. ;) I sometimes see them while flipping past Cartoon Network in the mornings. :D

I couldn't believe my 8 & 6 yr old nephews would grow up never seeing it. I bought them the DVD for Christmas some years back. My sis said they were mesmerized. They actually sat still & were quiet for some time as they watched it. lol

I still laugh myself silly & grin like an idiot every time I see them. :becky: LOVE it!!

My sons watch all the same Looney tunes that I watched when I was young. Throw in some Three Stooges, Little Rascals and Abbott and Costello and you have quite a mix. My favorite comment my son makes is "look, sit down and watch it to see what happens next." I know. I have seen it before ten times already. :p

Classic Elmer and Bugs!

Hilarious! That one and The Rabbit of Seville are two of my very favourite episodes ever! No matter how many times I see Elmer Fudd come out in a wedding dress, it's always so hilarious.

The other funny one with those two is Slick Hare, when Elmer is a chef in a restaurant and Humphrey Bogart orders rabbit... :p

I think that as a child you already are aware that you are not going to "zonk" someone over the head with a hammer like you are watching in a cartoon. My personal take on how or why any parent would want to "group" together with another group of parents to protest things such as a cartoon makes me really wonder what the hell the parents are like to begin with? It is those same groups of parents that want to ban the use of words such as "Christmas" or having prayer being a part of normal life.

Don't you know why they and everyone else in the world is like that? It's the eternal quest to become PC! A losing battle IMHO, since humans are opinionated creatures and will always have preferences, philosophies, and persuasions, and other humans will always be offended by them.

I had this hilarious professor in college who delighted in being as anti-PC as possible with every sentence he spoke. But of course, most of the students failed to recognize that it was humour, and took it as offensive. He was reduced to part-time, and eventually no time at all. It was such a shame, because he was a great professor.
