I think we should bring back banishment, seriously.

You break the law a couple of times, you leave town.
Leave your home, the place you grew up in, your family and most importantly; leave your bad friends behind.

A new town, a new chance to do better, no bad reputation, new friends who are perhaps a better influence, etc.

I hope they banish me to scotland.

I dont like warm countries, they are... erm too warm!
I prefer a country with cold winters, wet autumns, soft springs and a not too hot summer.
