Well, I got the pics already so I apologize for the double post.

In order from least favorite to favorite because why not?

6. Wesco x Standard and Strange Knuckle Draggers
I wish I had just gone with black or brown with these and probably wouldn't have gone with waxed flesh for engineers either. These also are the least refined in terms of construction. I still like them a lot, though. I've actually given them a half ass black overdye which makes me like them a lot more. Everyone thought they were black, so now they actually are black.

5. Attractions Horsehide (Lot 444)
These could end up being higher, but they're my most recent engineer acquisition. Construction is good, but not as good as several other Japanese brands. The leather is the star of the show here and I can't wait to beat these up.

4. John Lofgren in Natural Chromexcel
Great construction and are extremely well designed. The biggest holdup for me on these is the CXL leather. I'm just not a fan. Otherwise these are about as well made as off the rack boots get.

3. Role Club 2307
This is another one that unfortunately has CXL. I wish he had more leather options available at the time I ordered these. They're really nice though. IMO, the second best engineers you can buy today.

2. Clinch Classic Narrow in black Japanese veg tan cowhide
IMO Clinch make the best engineers you can get. The design is perfect, the quality is the highest in terms of engineers, and the leathers are really nice too. These are second because I like the leather of the others more, but I'm thrilled with how these turned out. I am incredibly grateful that I was able to custom order these and my other pair directly from Clinch before they got a US distributor.

1. Clinch Classic Narrow in brown Italian veg tan horsebutt
These are by far my favorite engineers. Clinch design and quality plus this stunningly beautiful leather. I'm really happy with all the choices I made with the customization on these, including the lighter thread color. The only downside is that I had to go with 9" height instead of 11" for the horsehide at the time, but that's not enough to stop them from being my favorite.

@regius it’s another thread man. The other is still there in the other section. Not sure how this fits the outerwear section. Perhaps some moderator should consider consolidating the two.

Quite the line up dude. Those Attractions with a bit of wear ought to rise in the ranking.

I’m partial to Attractions as I think they’ve got the best shape out of all engineers, something about the proportions that can’t be topped imho.

Clinch on the other hand really have that artisanal feeling to them although from certain angles I think they look a bit off.

Can’t speak for Role Clubs or Lofgren as I never handled them but they sure look nice. Wesco’s I don’t know, they really don’t catch my eye for some reason.

Nice round up. Imo that pic of your RC is what boot dreams are made of.

Thanks! Despite not adoring the leather, I really love these boots.

@dudewuttheheck why are you not that pleased with the waxed flesh on the Wesco's? I ask because I have a pair of Wesco boots ordered in burgundy waxed. Just curious as I have never seen the waxed flesh in person and just kind of winged it.

It isn't bad, but I would rather have waxed flesh on lace up boots. I don't love it on engineers personally. Definitely a cool leather if you beat the crap out of it.

Interesting. I think Clinch has the best engineer design easily, but I will say that Attractions is probably my second favorite in terms of just design/last. I do think the Attractions will rise in my rankings with more wear.

The Attractions do look more like vintage engineers though which could easily make them number 1 for a lot of people in terms of design. If they had triple stitching I'd like them even more.

I love the raptor sole. Comfy whether I’m wearing the insoles or not.

The insoles are black tie domain. Notice the difference between the two leathers.
