I mentioned getting a pair of White's Nomads recently. Ordered these through Baker Shoes. Specs:

•Toe Vamp Leather: Black Smooth
•Upper (Shaft) Leather: Black Smooth
•Counter Leather: Black Smooth
•Heel Base: Standard
•Heel Lifts: 1/4" Higher
•Midsole: Double
•Edge: Brown
•Sole: Vibram Composition Half Sole
•Size - Length: 9
•Size - Width: D (medium)

Here are a couple of pics:

Very heavy boots, with pronounced arches. Felt strange initially but after wearing them for a few hours on and off the bike, I could feel things start to mold in nicely. I'll wait a few weeks but if these work out well, thinking about ordering something similar in brown rough out with natural edges for the summer.

i'm waiting on a pair of these from Bakers, the Wesco patrol toe boss bothers me a little, the heel cup just don't grab my heel and the only mechanism it stops my foot from sliding out is the flat and tight toe area, the thick leather really grips my toe, but not the arch and not the neck. it's got a few weeks of wearing now since I last posted, the sole is softened and bent, although I can walk without problem, the rear end is not molding as I had expected.

My role club boots one month of wear. I had a rough start with them. But I grew into them. I realized there are variations in engineer boots, these are sleek or petite, so I wear them with a slimmer fitting pair of jeans.

What do you mean by rough start? I know what you mean re variation of boot. The mOre I see, the more I learn how different they can be. That leather looks a little dry, is it? I really love The Role Club boots. I would love to see a pair of the Olive ones..

Thank u dude w.
Bunyip, they were very snug out of the box, they felt like leather socks. I peeled out the leather insole, wore them wet till they were dry. And wore them for a few days with multipale thick socks. All this helped to stretch them. During this proces i thought should i keep them or sell them. Ii think except one or two days i wore them and started to like them and value them. I also have pair of lofgrens and they are different, bigger and more boot, when i put them on i need to get used to that style of boot.

Both boots are beautifully crafted. I myself prefer a heavier, solid boot rather than anything too slender and fine. The photos that I initially attracted me to them were the old bashed up double midsole Chippewas and the like.

pics asap, please!

Yeah, I can definitely see why some would prefer a more substantial engineer boot. I will probably want something more like that in the future as well... just no bulbous toe box like on the Bucos, thanks very much.

Sorry for the double post.

regius:
I am strongly considering ordering a pair of the Craft Rite boots to be the black counterpart to my brown Role Clubs. I was wondering if you could help me out with the sizing. I am a size 10 in Vans, a size 9 in Clarks, and a size 10 in Allen Edmonds. When I tried on Alden boots, I believe I was a size 9. I am trying to decide between the 9 1/2 and the 10 1/2 (which I will probably have to add insoles to).

Also, what are your impressions of the boot as of now? You pictures are definitely part of what made me want them so much, I just want to make sure they are worth the price.

Dude, Yoshi advises ordering your Converse All-Star size, which sucks for me because I'm a 10 in Chucks, but unfortunately they're only availabe in a 9.5 and a 10.5, so I'm out. Im guessin. You're a solid 9.5 in these...

He has been incredibly patient and helpful with me so far. He gave me the same advice and the funny part is that I have NEVER worn All Stars in my life. I have never even tried on a single shoe from Converse haha. I think you are correct. Does anyone know if Converse run a little larger than Vans? Thanks for your advice Bret!

Thanks so much for these sizes. You make me feel pretty darn confident that I am a 9.5 in Yoshi's boots.

My Wesco/Iron Heart and Attractions 7.5 after a total 10 days of wear; the Attraction horsehide is superb, it shows brown after jeans rubbing the surface, while the Wesco still crushes on my toe, but my local Italian shoe people can lift the tow box.
