Here are some photos of my Wesco boots, bought in July 2018 from Iron Heart UK.
They are my favorite shoes and I try to wear as much as I can. They are heavy but comfortable, even for short walks (5 kilometers - 3 miles).
The leather is aging very well and I never used a conditionner, only a wet wipe when they are dirty.

Very nice indeed. Did you order the straps longer, or is that the standard? I do like a good, long strap length like this. Aesthetically, I just love the extra bit of length hanging there, though I also find it help a lot with putting boots on too. I have a couple of pairs of Wescos in mind for the future, though fingers crossed for the pound rising a bit against the dollar before that! Also waiting for a trip to the US in the hope I can get the chance to try some on for comparison - I'd hate to order a pair from that distance and find them arrive only to be a bad fit. Engineer boots are definitely tops for me in terms of my favourite boot designs, but the nature of the beast does mean not every brand is going to suit every foot.

Yeah, my Sugar Cane Lone Wolfs. But just around the house after work, it's hot as hell in Baltimore as well...
I’d like to see some picks of the lone wolfs. I don’t think there are too many on here. HPA has their remaining stock discounted.

Anyone wearing engineers lately. Thread needs update pics. Too hot for me for another 6 weeks :(

Temperatures have dropped to slightly more sensible levels here in London this last couple of weeks. Still not really jacket weather, *but* all the same much more bearable and with even a few days of lovely rain. I've mostly been wearing my Iron Rangers, but occasionally a pair of Chippewas. Currently have three main pairs of Engineers - my black Red Wing 2268s and Chippewa M1968(? I think)s in dark brown are both in my office, where I received them some time before lockdown. Thus they've not been worn in anger as of yet... I have, however, been wearing a pair of shorter (7"ish) Chippewas in oxblood. Whereas the 11" Chipps and the RWs are as perfect a fit out the box as you'll get for me, the oxbloods are just a little neater in the heel. Perfect once on, but sometimes a bit of a struggle to slip in my left foot, especially if I put them on in the afternoon rather than the am, and/or in a rush. They're definitely stretching out very slowly, though, and lovely to wear. Oddly, I have found that they look good with non-denim trousers; I've even worn them with a blazer and collar and tie (not perfect, but all the same a darn sight less out of place than would be normal, think more Doctor Jones' Aldens with suit rather than his son's clumpy engineer boots with suit at his folks' wedding...).

Seems everyone but me has snug issues with engineer boots. I lack the foot volume for a good fit and have to wear inserts.

Varies from boot to boot for me. My first engineers, a pair of chunk Grinders, needed an insole to snug 'em up a bit, so did my SJCs. The RWs and the Chippewas, no. Engineers and penny loafers are two styles I've found where you really need to size right, and some patterns will simply suit the individual foot better than others.

Bfd70, sorry for the crap pics but here 'ya go. I got 'em in late March but despite short wear time they're quite broken in. Charles at HPA was great to deal with, but he mentioned Lone Wolf was apparently ceasing exports to the US with no announced schedule for resuming sales here. What a damn shame. They're a bit loose in the heel which as a bit of a put off at first but I'm quite ok with that now. I suspect HPA's stock is low with outlying sizes left in stock.

for me i dont like it too snug specially thick leathered engineer boots.it hurts to break em in.
i usually wear my engineers any brand half a size up or if possible a width up.

feet swells at the end of the day when walking the whole day or eating ramen.
have to compensate for that.
