Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

Less slippage in Chelsea than engineer. The instep of engineers typically to allow entry also causes some heel slip. No big deal because they are not purpised for a lot of walking. Chelseas in my experience fit better for walking. A bit of slip but less than engineers.

You know that's a really good point about Engineer boots, that they're really not made to do a lot of walking in. Cowboy boots, Chelsea boots and chukkas, I can walk all day in them.

Engineer boots are one of those things I've been on and off on for years now. I'm really only interested in the vintage style ones with a low heel and toe. Probably the Wesco MP95 last with the block heel.

The weight and fit oddities/heel slip are what's preventing me from getting one. I would like to use my boots for walking. Maybe a Chelsea would work better.

Wesco & White’s are actually both nice for walking. Red Wing too
