Your boyfriend wants stay home while you to go to a mock Nazi POW camp? Instead of going somewhere together with room service and a view?

Not sure whatI would think of this. Quite bizarre and could easily be seen as in bad taste. On the other hand, I would do it if offered for free to me. It sounds kind of cool.

Only thing I would want to add is a run through the woods, having shoots out with Nazis before being rescued by the underground, a beautiful female polish resistance leader with whom I have a tryst before being betrayed by her jealous lover, and a fat buffonish german seargent, a silly monocle wearing comandant, and a tunnel for easy trips into Berlin and back before role call.

Quite remarkable, one way or another. I would actually be quite intrigued to work for this company as an actor.

It reminds me of the STanford Prison Experiment, which was ended after six days because the guards were becoming sadistic and the prisoners were mentally breaking down.

You couldn't pay me to experience a WWII POW camp.

Haha No Paul is stationed in Japan so it's not like I would be leaving him here and going. And he knows I am a strange one and think it would be interesting.

Would be a great premise for a murder mystery. A murder happens at the camp and a cop has to go in undrcover to ferret it out or something like that. And it all goes back to real nazis, collaborators, and pows, maybe relatives of the men in the camp. I better get working on the screenplay.

Ditto, ditto, ditto!

I don't see how anyone would want to willingly experience being a POW. My grandfather was in the Bataan Death March, and it left him a very different man. Not in a good way, either.

This has already made the rounds over on the WW2 reenactors board. But as bizarre as it sounds, the idea is not original. I remember reading a few years back about a similar event in Russia, but instead of a German camp, the concept was being taken into custody and interrogated by the KGB. It was held in a real former KGB "installation" and they employed many former KGB operatives. And there was a waiting list for this activity. And the majority of the paying participants were Russians. Now THAT'S macabre!

YOU VILL HAVE FUN!

I mentioned this once before, but apparently there is/was a mock concentration camp on some horrible windswept island off Norway where wayward jewish kids were sent to get some idea of what their grandparents had gone through....read it somewhere but don't know the details.....
