Grrraahhh!

Oh my...

I don't know what happened, but I was a bit afraid that someone might have hacked my eBay account, as all sorts of stuff kept appearing in my watchlist - stuff I didn't put there...

I changed my passwort and double checked everything, making sure that no evil is afoot.

Then, about one hour later...I lost on this lot of four hats...because I forgot to tell my sniper the new password! :rage:

The whole lot (incl. one Stetson and one really nice Penny's Marathon) went for $14.99...

Where is the Aspirin?

It was tough to lay off that Citation

But I'm glad you did. :D

I also took a chance on this blue Borsalino Pocket Hat. Don't tell my wife I've gone fishing in the 'Bay again after a long (for me) break! :p

RLK, good catch on the C&K. I was in the hunt on that one but not seriously--it went for about $10 more than I bid on it, but a lot less than I expected it to really go for! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Cheers,
Tom

I've always hoped to fish a truly vintage Stetson No. 1 Quality from the 'Bay. Looks to be in pretty darn good condition...

I'm excited to see this one on you. That sweat looks in great shape, you hit the jackpot again it seems.

Sweet, Jimmy! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I watched that one, thought about going for it but in the end opted not to. I hoped/figured someone from here would be serious about giving it a good home. Looking foward to seeing clearer photos of it, of course!:D

Cheers,
Tom

Great hat JtL. I was the second bidder on that hat. I'm glad some one here beat me out, I don't feel so bad.

I seem to have been out bid by Tango too. Oh well. Tango will look great under that Borsalino

I recognized some of the bidders on those two and gave up before the game even started.

Douglas - I was looking forward to seeing you in that Blue Borso, but now Tango will have to put on a suit and give us his best 'Douglas' shot.

jtl - also looking forward to seeing a clear photo of that No. 1, on your head. Should be an interesting look for you.

Scott <== easily intimidated.

Believe it or not I don't get so up set when I get out bid from FL members. We all have such good eyes and there are so few hats out there that it is good when one of us gets one. Even when I loose I feel better knowing it has gone to some who will appreciate it and not to some one who will use it for a Halloween costume then toss it in a closet.

Getting upset at things on the internet is usually unproductive. I'm finding that there are gazillions of gorgeous vintage hats available on ebay and scattered around the country. No problems finding many, many more than you can possibly use.

I was in third position on those two as well, congratulation to TY and JtL.

I did manage to grab the other Borso of the night(9/20) on much less competitive bidding(I think Douglas already has one like this): Italian(store) 5X

Congrats, rlk! I thought that one would go for big bucks like the blue one did, so I decided to let it go for a different potential catch. Glad to see you snagged that one. Looks super.
