I guess this one can be filed under a gripe: I wonder what it was like in into original condition. The owner was surely under the influence of something when he cut off the Mode Edge and trimmed the brim to 1 7/8 inches.

40s/50s Dalton.
A nice victory since it came at a low price...and because it is a Dalton.
I had to rebuild this one a good bit, but when the felt and sweatband is good on a rare name brand, it’s not hard to find the time and desire to complete the work.
Added a copper colored ribbon and bow. Put a little more kick in the bow with this one.
In the first pics the ribbon color isn’t represented correctly. The last photo looks right. It’s my first attempt at a copper dyed ribbon.

Poor quality photos in the listing often helps to keep the price down. It’s a Stetson Twenty in 7 1/2 and by zooming in I could make out a keyhole size tag. That’s about all I know.

Worth taking a chance on.

I would think a Stetson that was taken to Peters Bros for a complete refurbishment. That would explain the liner and sweatband. BTW you can still buy the liners today.
