Hmmm. That doesn't happen with Mexican wives. I amply recommend them. [emoji2]

A painting contractor my boss hired, Mexican descent, showed up to work in one of those straws with the 7 or 8 inch brim. He and I were talking, and, the more I looked at that hat, the more I liked it.
I was actually looking at them on eBay earlier today.

She would change the locks.

If anyone is wondering why I'm quoting myself, its because my nrain isn't firing on all cylinders after this last weekend and I'm doing dumb stuff, like bumping the post arrow by accident before I'm done, or, dumber, forgetting to post a picture in my What Hat are you Wearing post (OMG --- THAT'S embarrassing). I can't find a way to just edit my post.

In the app, just tap on your post and it should turn the entire box blue and give you options at the top of it. The wrench and screwdriver icon will let you edit or delete your post

Formosan is from Formosa (Taiwan). It’s an artificial yarn rolled and coated with a plastic type covering. In the true sense, it’s not actually a type of straw or palm. I’m not a fan of wires in brims, but I understand what companies use them.

I try to get my wife to wear hats, but she’s not having any of it. I mean, she likes sun hats and big swooping feminine hats (she looks great in them), but she has zero interest in fur felt, any type of western, or Panama hats. I wouldn’t mind at all if my wife took an interest in my hats.

My wife won't wear a hat because of "hat hair". I say, if you don't take the hat off nobody will see your hat hair. Doesn't work though.

I used to worry about hat hair.
Hat scalp doesn't seem to bother me.

Thje lounge does not seem to trust me with tools. I turned the one I'm quoting now blue and all I could see was blue. No hammer or screwdriver.
Reminded me of a snipe hunt I was invited to once.

I have a gripe today. Other than ending up with more size 7 than I really wanted, I've felt pretty fortunate in my eBay dealings.
I bid a "vintage fedora" that was obviously a homburg in the picture. It was under a sawbuck, but I still figured it would be a real hat, meaning one might wear it daily. It arrived and is more like a stage prop or part of costume.
Ive been busy, so haven't reviwed the posting, but will see how it turns out.
