Just received this from the Bay. Kleinhaus Co Milan in what appears to be unworn condition. Seller had it listed as a panama straw “made in Italy”. The color on this is quite striking.

Aaaaaaaargh!
I just lost out on a Cavanagh. It was going to be my first vintage hat.

Granted it was my fault for not setting a higher bid when I knew I should have, but it was painful seeing that higher bid tick in with 3 or 4 seconds left and not being able to fire off another bid before it hit zero.

If it was someone from here, I can only say congratulations, I truly hope it is going to a good home.

What size hat do you wear? Any particular style you're looking for or casting a wide net?

I'm casting a pretty wide net. I'm still pretty new to the game and haven't identified a specific style I gravitate to yet. I'm pretty much just looking at as many listings as I can and deciding on the spot if I find it appealing or not.

EBay's search function isn't the best sometimes for narrowing down.

Based on the only hat I currently have, I wear a 7 1/2. I've got another hat coming tomorrow that will hopefully confirm that sizing as roughly correct

OK. I'm a 7-1/4 to 7-3/8, so nothing in my collection that would work. At 7-1/2 you're at a bit of a disadvantage in the vintage market as the supply is less. As such competition is fairly stiff. Not impossible by any means, but just something to be aware of when you're looking/bidding.

I know it's disappointing to lose an auction but hang in there and just try to enjoy the ride. For me personally the hunt is part of the fun, and it makes the wins that much more enjoyable. You'll snag one soon enough, and then you'll be hooked! :)

Hey there! I don’t know what style, colors, era, etc. of hat you’re looking for. I just received and reviewed a black Christys’ fedora (fairly recent manufacture) I’d sell cheap.

No pressure.
