I am tieadvance. I never meant any ill will here. There are some reasons for why i used the ebay option to cancel.
Well I wanted to let you guys know and also i think I am taking a long beak from seeking hats.
I am sorry 40cal.
My 2017 resolution for myself .... Stop taking everything so seriously and realize not everyone does things as I would do them.
Thank you for trying to make things right , Jeramiah. I understand you meant no ill. I took it a little too personaly perhaps. After all, It's just a hat.
I'm removing your EBay name from my blocked bidder list. I don't sell that many hats during the year, but if you happen to see one you like no reason to hesitate.
Have a happy new year!

I watched that one. The crease sold it. Gonna go home and try to reproduce it on a hat I already have with similar dimensions.

Anyone here get this? I was on it until the last second and my final shot missed by 3 bucks! Oh well, 7 3/8 might have been a tad large anyway. What is this hat model? Specs put the brim larger than an Open Road.

Western Royal Stetson , similar to a No.1 Quality (I guess) , 3" Brim , 4.5" crown at the crease . No.1 Quality that I have seen have that low crown wide hand creased look , open crowned they're 5" , that I've owned . I like the Brim Width better than The Open Road (2 3/4"), but I would prefer a 5 3/4"-6" Open Crown , but that's me .

I can vouch that the mid/late 1950s No.1 was available in a similar size and crease. This is the No. 1 that Michael gifted me (thanks again Michael!). It currently resides on the stretcher as I'm trying to make a long oval out of it.

If anyone comes across a 7 1/4 let me know!

This western straw had been on eBay for a while, apparently made by Bandera Hat Company here in Fort Worth.

For $17 shipped, it should be a decent beater for the warm months that will be coming soon.

I've found a couple of ads from the 60's for Bandera Hats, but doesn't seem to be much info around.
