Just won this one. I've been wanting a gray homburg for a while. It has the bow in back, a very spiffy 50's touch, so I guess I'll have to be somewhat rakish in what I wear with it.

Nice Champ. Looks to be a fedora... you should be able to wear it with the brim up as shown or snapped down. Enjoy it.

Just won this one. I have a great grey Stetson St. Regis Homburg but I've always wanted a black one and was inspired by what Colin Firth wore in The Kings Speech. I think this will fit the bill.

I think it will go well with the new J. Peterman's Generals Coat in tan that I just got.

Hello. I just won the Dobbs 15 felt hat, well I should say the woman in my life purchased it on my behalf. I was considering after I get the hat home, to determine if I should have the edge of the brim finished off or leave it alone? Got to love Ebay, and yes, the woman in my life. She keeps searching for some great hats for me. Bless her.

Very nice. She sounds like a keeper.
Whether or not you want to add a binding to the brim is up to you. My preference is to keep my hats as original as possible. This is your hat, so it's your decision.

Mayser Melone, size 56cm. Not mine (I was very tempted) but the first pre 1940 Mayser I have come across that wasn't a Topper so very rare. I have never encountered a pre 1940 soft felt Mayser in any size or style.

We'll see. Until I get my hands on it, the only reason I bid on it was for the color and perceived dimensions. Since I got it so cheap, it may become a project hat if I'm not satisfied with its present condition.

Nicely done. Nice straight crown there, I'll bet you're gonna like it.

I hope the buyer of this one likes it. I was the first to bid on it (a token amount) and was second place in the end with a snipe (three of us had bids submitted at exactly the same time). Without more/better pics, I considered my top bid a risk. With more info/better pics, I may well have gone quite a bit higher. You just don't see many of these at all.
