Sure thing. You beat me out on the Miller. Oh well If you don't like it let me know
I am experiencing deja vu on this one... did I see it here a few weeks back, or was it another?
There is a "Dark Green Vintage Stetson Fedora Crush Weight with Box" in the Bay right now with a 1/4 tag and with a bash.
Hardly anyone watching that puppy, I'm sure.
Thanks! Great reading and a lot of really nice hats...looking forward to seeing these firsthand

Al picked up a green Miller, and I believe it was also listed as a bowler.
I think that one was a size smaller. I bid on it too.

I am not a feather guy. I'd be happy to ship it to you when I get it if you send my your address.Congrats, Mike! Gratifying to see so much interest in this pair of green "bowlers" from my friends here. It is, as Alan said, a bit like deja vu. The seller had two of these Millers, both green, NOS, and from the same 100+ year-old mercantile store in tiny Fertile, way-up-north Minnesota.
The store had a stock of early 1900 ladies' shoes, these two hats from a long-since defunct St. Paul, Minnesota hatter, and assorted other interesting items that were kept in deep storage until the going out-of-business public auction a few years back. The felt is of a much darker and richer shade of green than the seller's photos would indicate, and is a very lovely heather finish.
I think you will really like the lid, Mike, but if it does not work for you or Ed, let me know. I would be happy to have it join its sibling back in Minnesota! Do me a favor, though, gents, and please keep the feather should either of you choose to remove it?
