This 1930s or '40s one is just nuts.
Hi Matt,
Sorry for silent applause. I had marked that auction for the beautiful tiny Whippet when I saw it on ebay and smiled when I saw you had won it. Congratulations on purchase and the anniversary!
[...] I scored a grey Whippet for my girlfriend that nearly matches my own favorite Stetson [...]
Be sure to post a couples photo of the two of you in your matching Stetsons in the Whippet thread.
Happy Anniversary ...
I also picked her up an awesome grey 40s vintage women's suit yesterday at a barn sale, I think it'll go great with the hat. Chances are we'll both dress up in our vintage finest sometime around Halloween. Maybe go out for an absinthe at the local speak easy.
It appears that eBay UK leaves the photos and full description online after the auction ends. Interesting.
Unfortunately, most sellers don't host their own photos.I've only seen the issue on ebay US when the photos are hosted on the ebay site. When you host your own and write it into the action using html, the photos remain, even on the US site. ]

Maybe eBay would prefer that they do.
Love that one I've been eyeing it longingly. Glad you got it. I don't know anything about what your liner has in it, but probably some variation on the plastic protective film. I wouldn't worry about it. If it's totally grody replace it, but I'm sure there's nothing toxic in there.http://www.ebay.com/itm/27082944620...=p3984.m1438.l2649&autorefresh=true#cvip_desc
Won that. I'm curious--It says that there's rubberized cellophane under the sweatband; Is that ok, or a health risk? Just wondering.

It's really hard to evaluate post sale auctions now that the photos are gone. Just not the same game anymore.
Yeah, it's a pain. But you can always bring up the auction page's address, delete the ebay.com part, and replace it with ebay.co.uk . That should solve the problem ... for now.
