I bought the Cavanagh and the Resistol from noclevermoniker - one on a second chance and the other BIN - had to pull the trigger on both even though it has decimated my hat buying budget for months. Will post photos when they arrive. How often do you see an older Cavanagh and an especially an older Resistol fedora? Anyway that's the justification if the wife finds out about these two.

Here's an item of interest. I know it's a live auction, but I seriously doubt any of us will be bidding. Forget about moth holes, what about using your hat as a pincushion?

I believe the $170 BIN Mac currently listed is a different hat, the second of two Macs the seller originally listed. The withdrawn Mac has a beautiful tartan plaid liner.

This auction didn't end as a BIN. The seller pulled the plug on the auction before any bid had been placed.

Ebay has also apparently implemented a policy of immediate deletion of (ebay hosted) listing photos at auction end, so important reference photos should be saved without delay.

Yes... a new upgrade I guess. Will make it interesting if there are questions on receipt and the item description relied heavily on the posted photos. I guess it might also cut down on unsavory sellers using pirated photos in their auction listings. I'll miss them I always enjoyed looking back at the photos for an impulsive purchase while the item is en route... hunting for those moth bites I missed first time around.

Between Facebook and Ebay, the constant improvements are like the Gaslight treatment.

No, but they've raised fees thru the roof. So they got that going. It's to the point where it is too expensive to sell anything there any more.
