Thanks for your kind comments, gentlemen. I'm tickled silly about this hat.
I'd be tickled too!

Not sure how I missed that one. I'd have gone for it big time (yep, my size too!). Congrats, a wonderful find! It's a 7 1/8. Hope that will be a relief ;-)

I was very close to placing a bid but then I was so busy shelling out money for other things that I chickened out.
Demon Hanover by Hoyt Hats.
Hope I did OK with this ads it cost me $100. Too much, really, but… well, it seemed rare to me.
And my personal favorite, a vintage Paragon wide-brim fedora

That Caxton is pretty interesting... looks like an experiment with sweatband growth hormone went awry.

My size, fabulous big brim, great condition, I saw it here in the Classifieds when it was first listed on eBay, been watching it. Had every intention of bidding, but the other day noticed it had already gone beyond what I was prepared to pay (not that it wasn't worth every dime, but I've been hitting the bank account a bit too frequently on eBay lately, and needed a bit of breathing room- there are a few coming to me not yet mentioned in this thread). Great hat for whoever won it, and I do think the price was reasonable. Now, what made this nice Stetson get to $157.51 I wonder?
It is a very nice hat. Smallish at 7-1/8. Not a Whippet but a "Vogue." Great color, too.
I'd say it looks more 40s 50s instead of 30s 40s era, though. It looks like a leaf in the liner logo. But if it is stars, I could be wrong.
It is a beauty, but I thought it went for a fairly high price.
Anybody got an idea? Is the "Vogue" a really rare model? (I have no idea so I'd like to know)
