This should be here when I come home from work tomorrow and it does say DERBY on the sweatband.
Also has some sort of DuPont connection, maybe the ribbon is sewn on with Stren fishing.
I'll call it Old Lunker Lander and use it on fishing trips.

Yes, they seem to be.
I'd be looking for a whole and when it popped up I had to jump.
Eventually a grey one will pop up and that will put paid to the bowler/derby collection.
My favorite hat style.

Took a lot of patience with the seller but this one is finally on its way.

Not so good pictures and a title that just said vintage Stetson 6 7/8 probably let this one fall though.

I suppose the patience will be worth it as the seller said... if nothing else you have a great story of getting a Stetson for less than two dollars.

Sweatband and ribbon area looks like it has seen some serious sweat... but other than that felt looks just fine.

Seller says the brim is 2 1/2 wide. Looks 2 3/4 to me. Pics can be deceiving, but still...
