I usually don't post a hat till it's in hand, but I was kinda excited about this Adam that looks early 40's to me.

My early Christmas present to myself.
Can't wait to get it!

I know I'm gonna like that one (in fact I already do). Nice catch, John.

This is my first vintage hat, and hopefully I made a good choice. Impeccable condition, original box, it even includes its receipt!
Nice Back Bow Mondo! That style of bow is usually seen in the very early pre-WW!! era and a resurgence of the style in the mid to late 1950s. I suppose they made them between those times, so this one is rare if the store receipt can be verified by the hat. Can't wait to see detail pictures of this one. Love a back bow!

Yeah, if the remaining ink doesn't fade away by the time I get around to passing it down. You can barely see the 6 in the date now. There's also noticeable faded ink all over the paper, but it's interesting to see nonetheless.

I just purchased my first Stetson - purchased it outright rather than bidding because I loved it so much. It’s a 3X beaver and I’m quite sure it’s from the 50s even though the ad said it was from the 30s. I love this ribbon and the matching yellow trimming, and the felt looks like I could swim in it. Plus the box is terrific! I’m quite taken with the whole package!

Still, this was a hard choice since I’ve already got a bespoke hat on order. But I slept on it and woke this morning straight away with the thought, “I hope it’s still there!”

The seller doesn’t ship internationally but my mom will send it to Australia as my Christmas present - I’m flying out to Melbourne for New Years with old friends. Here’s hoping it fits!

Cheers,
Nathan

I just got this on eBay with a BIN. Now that I've paid for it I decided I'd try to find out what I've bought. Any help will be most appreciated.

I'm vaguely familiar with Churchill hats, but nothing as "western" as this hat appears to be. I've also posted this on the thread What Hat Are You Waiting For just to cast a wider net. Can anyone tell me about these hats? If not, I'll know more myself in a week or so. Thanks in advance.

Churchill was owned by Resistol, and sold in some high end stores like Neiman Marcus. Undoubtedly a fine hat. Don't know much about them, but would like to own one.
