Fun Hat
Remembering that I lacked a jaunty green hat for St. Patrick's Day, threw in a $15 bid on this stingy Knox, and surprisingly, won. I assumed it would've been sought by the hipster crowd, but they might not have recognized the brand.

Nice snag. Can't wait to see detail pictures.

John, if it's an older Mexican import it could be nickel silver plated. That may infact be what it is because it doesn't appear to be too shinny. Newer ones are usually sterling silver plated & look very shinny. Most country & western wear shops used to sell them & they were popular mostly with the line dancers & two step crowd.

They will cut & wear into the brim.

The hat arrived and the band is probably a remnant of a 1950s era bling woman's belt. My wife recognized it right away and pointed me to two similar remnants that were crafted into decoration on a stuffed kitty here. The little medallions are on a stretchy sort of fabric.

So, I will not be keeping this, will likely sell off that hat with the bling. The band is not heavy, no damage at all to this felt. Very lightweight, not a substantial metal.
