Congrats! You will really like it! My guess would be late 1950s early 1960s. As everyone knows it's hard to date Borsalinos.

And here's my gripe; I often follow vintage hats on Ebay and if I bid say a max of $200 I always get out bid but a similar hat that I don't bid on goes for $50! I bid on average about once a week on something, haven't won a hat in 2 years. Starting to feel a little paranoid.

I cant understand why this other guy only upped his bid by a penny ? hell I put in a max amount of $60.00 but thank god I onlt had to pay one dollar above the asking price and it comes with FREE SHIPPING , now I ask you does it get any better than this

You know I was wondering the same thing , is it really a derby or was the crown pushed out as some point.
I tried to assess that in looking at the pictures but could not discern it from the photos?

I might just keep it the way it is, will have to take a wait and see attitude till it arrives and go from there .
