Hi All, OF COURSE it is ROADSTAR!! too excited .I do not like to brag but I have to. I was supposed to not buy any jacket. But I could not resist it. A lot was written about this jacket and all this is true. This is a great jacket. And her scent that spreads throughout the apartment. Zip Talon ,HH , Black, size 42 , all perfect .Only warmer days are missing for her. It's minus 15 degrees right here I only use it at home ha ha ha. I am happy like a child with a new toy. Regards

How is the wear on the Walnut, anything like this? What you see here is described as 'four years of wear'. I don't know what they've done to make it look like this but I certainly wouldn't like my jacket to look like this after 4 years.

I didn’t remember this one either.

I wonder if they guy who had the 4 year old jacket wore a bag with straps which would explain all the wear. Wearing it crossed and on one side only

I have a very early one of these, pre-ELMC when they were part of the main Eastman line. Quilted nylon liner, and two 'pillion pockets' (I don't think the current version has those? Don't recall). Nice jacket. Much lighter horse than CXL, closer a midweight, A2 type jacket. Nice look, scary money!

one thing is for sure, this is not a jacket for guys with a belly unfortunately the jacket is inherently slim and fit, the jacket will adjust over time for body and silhouette.

The current version indeed doesn't have pillion pockets. What I like most is the fit, it's very much v-shaped and for me personally it's an absolute perfect fit. Fit-wise, I can't think of anything to improve.

Only thing that bugs be is the wool lining which is extremely itchy when worn over a t-shirt. I would have preferred a quilted nylon liner. According to ELMC's website, their latest version comes with EndZone twill lining "- a custom-made very high quality fabric exclusive to ELMC", which is great. They also use it for their Californain.

I agree with you on the price. ELMC is selling these at £1.249,99 which is hugely overpriced imo. Construction/material wise, I don't think this jacket is any better than an Aero Daytona in Vicenza hh for instance (which can be bought for £815).

As ever, price is subjective, but Eastman have definitely significantly upped their prices even allowing for inflation. When I first got into this game, they were more or less the same as Aero, or sometime £100 or so more than an equivalent Aero. I get the impression that ELC have established a significant proportion of their sales in recent years in the Japanese market, especially with the ELMC brand, and are probably pricing accordingly. Sometimes to be competitive in a niche market you do actually have to charge "more" so as not to be perceived as "the cheap alternative".

Maybe the ELMC brandline is also more fashion focused than Eastman (focus on looking sleek vs. period correctness / true to original)?

https://www.eastmanleather.com/ looks more old-school as compared to https://www.elmc.co/ which looks more flashy with slick photos and a lookbook.

Maybe fashion oriented jackets appeal to a wider audience which is less price sensitive? Question mark because I'm obviously just speculating.

The first four jackets i bought, from 2013 to 2016 where a Schott, Lewis Leathers, an Aero and an Eastman.

Schott 644, back then 450$ now 775$
Lewis Leathers Dominator, back then £525 now £875
Eastman Californian, back then £825 now £1249
Aero Bootlegger, back then £640 now £770

Eastman definitely raised their prices more.
