Maybe the ELMC brandline is also more fashion focused than Eastman (focus on looking sleek vs. period correctness / true to original)?

Maybe fashion oriented jackets appeal to a wider audience which is less price sensitive? Question mark because I'm obviously just speculating.

The ELMC brand is certainly aiming for a different market than the main ELC line. ELC was always better known for its military stuff, so it perhaps makes a lot of sense to start a diffusion range for their civilian designs. I think their military jackets have gone up in price now too.

The first four jackets i bought, from 2013 to 2016 where a Schott, Lewis Leathers, an Aero and an Eastman.

Schott 644, back then 450$ now 775$
Lewis Leathers Dominator, back then £525 now £875
Eastman Californian, back then £825 now £1249
Aero Bootlegger, back then £640 now £770

Eastman definitely raised their prices more.

Markedly so. Schott have shot up in priced a lot over here, though in part I'm sure that's been affected by the sharp drop in the value of the pound against the dollar since 2016; not as historically low I think now as it was, but little improved. Enough to make quite a lot of stuff from the US impractical for me. With Eastman, I think they've just been repositioning themselves in the market.

Certainly not knocking them if they can get it, tat's how the game works, but glad not everybody has done quite the same as my salary hasn't gone the same way! (Sector wide, academic salaries in the UK are, in real terms, about 20% below what they were ten years ago.)

Percentage increased, Eastman is actually only second lowest on this list.

These can be easily made. Just buy a couple of dice, drill a hole through the middle and use the chain from some key fob you've got laying around.

yes I know , but I'm afraid that heavy belt will spoil the beauty of the jacket imho.

Yes i have it ! but I unhooked the it, hangs in the car next to the rearview mirror in my jeep as key fob Maybe someday I'll add a lucky cube, but only one

Nope, mine doesn't have the skull. Have they recently started adding those? Mine was made march 2019.

to be honest, I don't know when the skull was added, I heard versions that it was for the Japanese market But I could be wrong.

Realise this in an old post, but just bought the same jacket. Fit of mine seems similar to yours, did you find the sleeves to be slightly too short?

You’re right looks spot on. For me I just bought a used one, and I feel like the sleeves are a bit too short. Think I may have to catch and release yet again (sigh). Do you or anyone else here have any thoughts?

Sleeve lenght is the only thing that bothers me here but since you're not going to wear high rise jeans/trousers the body lenght is short too.
