I got today my rangoon shirt from Eastman.
I wondered a little bit, MADE in CHINA.
Is it the only thing from oversea or does he make other stuff in China?
I'm not surprised. I believe all of their leather jackets are still made in Englnad and should say so on the tag next to the contract label. I have clothing made by the Japanese firms Toyo Enterprises (who own Sugar Cane, Style Eyes, Buzz Rickson's), Evisu, and Pherrow's which are labeled as being made in Hong Kong or Korea. Ultimately, as long as you are satsified with the product there is no harm done.
Yes, but if I would by a Harley, it should come from USA.
I would never by a Harley from China
This is one point of the story.
And than the price.
Products from china have low production costs.
The price of the ragoon shirt is not low.
So if he says, ok, this is coming from oversea and makes a better price, it is up to me to buy it.
I think, this is the true way.
Just an FYI
That "wonderful" American motorcycle company HD is using parts that are made outside the United States and these parts are sold though their dealers. Brake pads for one thing are made in Chinia. Funny one of the symbles of the American way of life that love of freedom and the open road being stoped by parts made in overseas factors. Out of respect for this lounge I am not going to get into the whole political aspects of this just thought you would all like to know where some parts are made.
David Kerr
and yes I do ride a 1964 BMW R60/2 with 1942 Stoye sidecar like my bike to be on the road and not in the shop.
good choice, the BMW.:cheers1:
But ELC is not a global player like Harley.
Should tell before and I have the choice to buy it or not.
Everything is coming from China, I can not see it anymore.
Hope this little bit politic is ok for that forum!
