Any advice on a great pair of dress boots. I have a pair of Wesco riding boots and want the same quality in a low pair of dress boots. Looked at the Aussi RM Williams but read a lot of comments regarding them not lasting long.

I'm definitely a dress boot freak. My go-to brands for boots are mainly (i) To Boot New York, and (ii) Magnanni. You can find a decent offering at endless.com for each of these two great brands. There are boots out there for much more money, but I will argue with anyone that either To Boot or Magnanni can give you about the best dress boot that you can buy in the $350-$500 price range. I have a pair of Magnanni Sartos in Peanut coming in on 3/22, and I'm pretty excited.

> Magnanni (Spain): http://www.magnanni.com/index.php?p=catalog&pg=1&parent=10&type=Boot

> To Boot New York (Italy): http://www.tobootnewyork.com/catalog.aspx

Note: Of these two lines, the Magnannis tend to fit truer to size than the To Boots, which can be a bit...all over the map.

I totally agree that the Santonis are amazing, but I'd say that with a bit of hunting, you could find as good a boot at a price lower than the $550-$700 you'll pay for Santonis. But if money is no object, then just go with a pair of Ferragamos (like these: http://www.ferragamo.com/webapp/wcs...551#/product/27661/6148914691233336672/440449). Keep in mind that just about every decent style of dress shoe and boot that you see is a copy of a Ferragamo model at some point. Ferragamos are what the golden-era Hollywood stars like Gene Kelly, Errol Flynn and Fred Astaire wore. Personally, I'd get a couple of pairs of To Boots, a couple pairs of Magnannis and another Lost Worlds jacket, because the one you just picked up looks outstanding ;)

Cheers!

Ah, in my case Trust But Verify is more on point to what I am looking for. Very cool vintage feel though. I am all over the Too Boots, Ralph Learen or Ferragamos.
