I'm afraid it was fully intentional. It sounded good in theory. I love spicy things and thought it would be better than Pop Rocks and soda....if I lived to tell about it.

Golly, this thread is nauseating! It's also reminding me of those days before I was of legal drinking age. You know the time when teens think it's fun to drink, for they don't ge hangover's, and they'll put together some pretty disgusting concoctions made from whatever they can get their hands on.
One such combination I find it hard to forget I had during my freshman year of college. My boygriend at the time got his hands on a few bottles of Midori. We didn't have any sour mix so we mixed it with Raspberry crystal light. It actaully wasn't all that bad in the beginning, it was kind of sweet. But, after a night of drinking it, we were all pretty ill
Another drink I dare never try again is a "Cement Mixer". I can't remember the exact contents of this shot but it turns into the consistency of cement as soon as it hits your mouth. Yuck!!

Where I grew up it was "legal drinking height" (not age). You just needed to be tall enough to see over the counter at the beer store to buy whatever you wanted. Of course I never did anything like that. No, not me

I was having a drink at the bar at the Delano last Sunday when a couple of rappers (sorry, I don't know my rappers as I should, but they appeared to be famous) sitting nearby ordered Cognac and Coke. Maybe it makes a difference. [huh]

In the '80's

I worked as a bouncer in the Bobby McGees chain...the head bartender made his minions pour the premium shot of liquor in a separate glass and have the customer mix 'em together. I remember some of the offending combinations, including;

Crown Royal (or any quality bourbon) and Coke :eusa_doh:
Drambui and Coke/ ginger ale :cry:
Creame de Menth and Coke
Courvoussier and ginger ale [bad]
Napoleon (brandy) and orange soda
