epr25 - I have to agree, you look like a fabulous couple

I generally take no notice of what my boyfriend wear, he tells me when I look nice, and doesn't comment when I wear some of my more 'questionable' outfits. He knows better than that. I do hope he would tell me if I looked a complete fool though

I do like to match though, sometimes we get it right, other time it looks like I'm out with my carer...

Come on!! Any guy who is married, engaged or just has a steady partner is kept toeing the line when it comes to what he is wearing if they're going out.

Not true at all! My fella dresses 1950s all the way, pretty much every day and I love it. Everything he has looks great on him and I find his style to be pretty impeccable. No complaints at all.

No toeing the line here. I have been married for 16 years and my wife never hassles me about my clothes.
This gives me no leeway whatsoever to complain about anything she buys! lol

dollydaydream- i'm an old chum of your fella from my college days- does he still dress like a teacher? ;0) he always was one of the cool-without-realising-it ones!

my fella points things out for me in shops that i don't notice. he's getting fairly expert at it too!
he likes that i don't dress like most of the girls around cos he hates fashion trends and gets very annoyed at all the girls who look like clones of each other. so he will always help me go that extra mile for my vintage look.
what a hero. and he never fails to compliment me on my hair, even when it takes me an hour to fix and we end up being late to go out.lol
