Do you have a crush?

Keep on goin', Samsa. So you didn't "win" today, but you still have chances to "win" tomorrow and every day you have ahead of you. The only way you "lose" is if you call "end of game" now--you're no worse off, really, than if you hadn't popped the question, actually better because you have an answer instead of being haunted by wondering about "what might have happened".

I know, I really should take my own advice instead of camping around the same old office and the same restaurant every night, throwing myself into work.lol

Been there before, mine (first and last to date) was two years in the making (er, heartbreaking) though.

Samsa, there's plenty more fish in the sea, me dearie!

- but who wants to date a fish...?? ;)

Clearly doesn't know what she's missing - her loss not yours!

So unattainable

I have had a major crush for the past 25 years... and if I couldn't get him, no one could. No one did, to my best knowledge...

But we are close friends!

Nonetheless, the crush is still there... sigh...

Myrna Loy, Lauren Bacall and Gene Tierney...and a few local ladies of course...

Myrna Loy has always had a certain sensuality and wit in a perfect combination, imho.

In the real world, the list is short but distinguished. I travel so much, none would ever take me seriously [huh]

I'd probably make a pretty good pen pal though

Call me a cynic, but experience has left me with the firm belief it's best never to bother - then it not working out is my choice, because I chose to do nothing about it. All the best 'relationship' decisions I ever made were the ones where I decided it would be a bad idea and didn't do anything about it. :)

I am very much crushing on a guy that I work with--who is happily married--but that's fine. I just like looking at him :) He looks italian, darker skin and black hair, with startling blue eyes. *sigh* He has a very piercing, intense gaze. And the best part is how he dresses--business casual, like everyone at our work, but his clothes just fit him really well. He's always super relaxed and confident and it shows in how he walks and dresses. He chooses classic styled pants and button up shirts, while all of the other guys at work are wearing short sleeved polo shirts. Frankly, he looks like a mobster from the 40's, and it's very sexy.

I don't talk to him much, but I just got to go on a group business trip where he went as well. Three days of eye candy!!!

Wow...sounds it! There's a guy I work with like that, always wearing nicer clothes and is the biggest charmer (he gets all kinds of calls and customers looking for him). He's Italian, but his mother's English, and that makes for a killer accent!

For me...there is a girl I went to school with. Probably the finest girl I've ever met (I don't mean that in jsut the attractive sense; she is something quite special in all senses of the word); it's quite strange, really - I know she has no feelings for me whatsoever, and I sort of respect that. It's gotten to the stage now where I hope she's happy - I've actually given her relationship advice about other men, despite the fact it breaks my heart to do so - but somehow I am always perfectly honest about it. The strangest thing thing aout the whole situation is that she's from the former Soviet Union, yet I feel (as an incredibly patriotic Briton) that she has more right to live in th UK then I do. I don't really know how to explain it online...

Kind of the same but a little different. I have a friend who I have an incredibly long history with. We fell apart years ago and then lost contact completely for a long time. Somehow we managed to salvage a bit of ourselves and find each other again and today he is one of my best friends. It doesn't erase our history and I know quite well how he feels but he's always pushed that aside to be what I've needed him to be. He's always been honest and forthright and knowing his heart and his ability to do that has made him all the more endearing to me. He has been my salvation on more than one occassion and will always be, because more than anything, he wants me to be happy. Continue to be that support for her. I assure you, it will make all the difference in her world and in yours. Crushes are a funny thing. Sometimes they can lead to our most treasured friendships.
